Drapers Hall Restaurant, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Set within an historical building in the centre of Shrewsbury, Drapers Hall offers a touch of class, character and charm in an intimate and stylish setting.

Drapers Hall Restaurant, Shrewsbury, serves beautifully crafted modern classics with an easy going attitude. A new old world of simple elegance. The finest British produce including local organic meats, wild game, seasonal fish and shellfish from North Wales.

Situated in the heart of Shrewsbury, Shropshire’s picturesque County Town, with it’s award winning food market. Drapers Hall offers traditional and innovative cuisine in the impressive surroundings of a 15th Century building (established 1485). Accommodation is also available in their five star suites and rooms.

Considered modern fine dining in this historic setting, can be enjoyed in the restaurant, which provides unique and modern cuisine made with local, freshly sourced ingredients. The restaurant features modern paintings and historic period features, including a 17th-century fireplace and rustic banqueting tables alongside intimate corners – all candlelit at night.

Accommodation is available. Consisting of 6 beautiful, charming and individual boutique en-suite bedrooms, most with original features and some with rooftop views over Shrewsbury.
All are doubles, 3 of which can also accommodate extra beds for children on request. Their well equipped suite bedroom includes a kitchen, making it perfectly suited for both families and also longer stays.

Shrewsbury Castle is less than 5 minutes away on foot, while Shrewsbury Rail Station is just 5 minutes’ walk away. Under the direction of  Head Chef Richard Nair and owner Edward Taylor supported by their passionate young team, ingredients are sourced with the focus on quality and regionality, in that order. If they do not meet the high standards, they do not get in.  Seasonality is up to the minute with menus evolving regularly to reflect the seasons. His simple but robust a la carte menu offers his interpretation of fine, modern British food matched to the classic setting.
